Informed by thorough research into the field of psychoanalysis and the study of the subconscious that visually developed into the study of Emotional Vulnerability through the analysis of gestures framed within intimate fragments of reality.
Framing the soft lines of the body gestures within the straight lines of tailoring has been the methodology behind the construction of Alice Firman’s garments; paired with an attention to subtle, almost invisible details and a passion for high quality Italian fabrics.
Alice Firman is an Italian young designer, RCA MA Fashion Womenswear Graduate. With work experience at Vivienne Westwood, Costume National, Antonio Marras and Gentucca Bini.Previously graduated (2016) with a first class BA (Hons) at the Edinburgh College of art. Winner of the Swarovski competition, the Whistle competition and the All walks beyond the catwalk zine award.
Her RCA Graduate collection is being presented at 180 The Strand on the 14th of June 2018 and was supported by Pistolesi, Reda, Mantero and Lanificio Raphael.
